Hi All,
I have been using my Sony VAIO Laptop since 2 years and havent seen any major problems. Recently two days ago, I cant swtich my laptop without power source. My battery doesnt seems to be recognised and I cant able to get my laptop working with battery.I tried replacing the battery just to be sure it fits well in the battery case.
my laptop model: Sony SZ1 - XP/C.
Can someone please guide me to the appropriate channel or help me in troubleshooting this?
TIA--
Not sure if this help in your case but try disconnecting VAIO from power cord and removing the battery from your PC. Then keep the computer for a while and then insert the battery back. Sometimes this helps to get various problems solved.
Well, I tried this option too but not working.
To the worst, my one year warantee period is completed and I have to pay for additional support. I hope, there was a recall of batteries by Sony sometime back.
Is it possible to troubleshoot this or should I have to contact VAIO support?
TIA--
I don't think your VGP-BPS2C battery is included in the replacement program but have a look here: -

Batteries are considered consumables and are usually only covered for 90 days.
The best way to troubleshoot this problem is to find someone with the same battery for you to try - a friend or a shop - to see if it works with a replacement battery.
