i was updating the phone and all was going well. suddenly an error messege popped up saying that the update couldnt be completed. i kept pressing retry and got the same result. so i proceeded to unplug my phone from the computer. It hasnt started up since. i have tried everything, power button with volume keys (both) and nothing works.
The screen does start up and displays the sony logo and then goes on to display the picture with an exclamation mark
and a phone beside it.
i do not have another phone that supports micro sim and my xperia S is only a day old. What can i do to restart it?
Please help!

if that doesn't work you have 2 options
1) take it to a sony repair center
or
2) use flashtool to fix it

This happened to my Xperia S when I disconnected it from the computer earlier today.
Press and hold both the volume up key and the power key for five seconds. After the phone vibrates once, release the keys. The phone restarts automatically.
Hope this helps.
thanks a ton uliwooly. u probably just saved me from a mental breakdown.

well yeah. i tried all the pwer button volume button combos. it didnt work. Had to install SUS and then reinstall the entire update.
