Xperia mini useless when 38 degree celsius battery !

Hi ! Despite this problem of battery that was discussed many times ... I have bought the xperia mini. Its a great and fast phone.

I did not want to think that also my phone will be affected with this issue...but I think that all xperia mini phones are affected.

So if I use phone to do daily tasks and watch movies, browsing  and do other things everything is ok.

But if I play some game like hd game or something like that, as soon the battery touch 38 degree celsius, the phone become useless.

It start to go crazy and you cant close the game, going into menu...nothing.

I have to wait till the temperature drop below 38 degress and then I can us the phone again.  This is a major issue.

The newest firmware does not correct this error.

I hope that SE will fix this issue when android 4 will be available for our phones.

I think your phone needs to be examined and calibrated by a repair center. You should contact your local support team for more information.

I have contacted the repair center here in Slovenia. They have told me that they had also othe rusers complaining about that error. The phone needs calibration. But the problem is that with this procedure I wil loose all the applications that I have installed Slightly_frowning_Face  So i decided for now not to do the calibration, since I dont play game son my phone. I dont know how it will perform when summer comes.

I will wait for android 4 and then see what application I will need and which ones not. then I will decide when to do the calibration. The warranty is 2 years so nothing to worry.

Thanks for the answer.

well now I don't have other problems...so I will wait. I have checked the link you gave me.

I have installed App Backup & Restore from android market.

It seems that this application has done a great job. You can save all the applications to sd card

(all backed up application has apk format) and you can easy restore all the aplications.

Seems nice. The application configuration, data and other things are not saved.

The only thing is that I dont know if the application know where to restore / install the aplication, since some are installed on the phone and some others on the sd card.

What i mean is that when you do a backup of applications, the application save only apk installation packages on the sd card. When restoring you can easily install all application at once. This is all ok...but...on what location the applications will be installed after a restore. I have read somewhere that all application will be restored in the phone storage. Well thats not so good... some of them were installed on sd card, because there is no more storage capacity on the phone or I dont want all of them to be installed on the phone but reather on sd card.

And the other thing I have read is that after a restore you loose the track which one was downloaded from the android market, so when you go on android market the list of installed application is empty.

Someone mentioned that you can run an  option " check on market" in the menu of  a app backup & restore application and then you will get again the list of installed applications from android market.

Will see...

Hi ! Yes sure I know how to do.  I also use an application called app2sd ...seems very nice.

When I install some application on sd card after unninstalling it I have noticed that some of them leave some garbage behind (some folder with an ini files and something like that). I can always remove this folders from sd card . But if installed on android phone storage I cant explore and see this folders. I hope that the system is clever enough to delete thoose folders after the unninstalation.

The other thing I would like to know is where you go to application menu for unninstallation. Is it better to click just Unninstall or is it better to fisrt check "clear data option" and then "unninstall" ?

Personallly I always fisrt check "clear data option" and then unnistall. I hope that doing this ways there is better chance that the garbage will not be left behind once the unninstallation has done.

Mybe I am wrong... I dont know a lot how the android system works.

for ur first question----- yes ur android is clever enough to do that

for ur second- if ur application is installed on phone mem and u wan to uninstall it.... than directly tap on the uninstall .. it clears all data etc etc of that app and unisntalles it

NOTE- the clear data option clears data of phone memory only and not of sd card... so if that app that u uninstalled had data files on sd.. then u would have to delete it manually
