Will not start after less than 2 days - Triangle icon displayed

Please help.  My phone was charged @86% shortly before it died.  Now it will not start.

The Sony PC Companion said it wanted to upgrade itself at the PC, and the PC then wanted to update the phone, which was on and connected via USB cable.  During the Transfer operation the phone shut itself down, with a message saying it was doing so. Guess what - th eupdate failed.  I tried again, same happened.

Then the phone would not start at all.  I did a soft reset (power on + volume up).  It then started, so I hoped all would be well, but after a short while it switched off again.

Now it will not start - when I press the power on, it vibrates, displays Sony, then turns to a display with a white triangle and yellow exclamation mark, and a picture of a chip or phone (not obvious).

Please, what can I do, and what does the warning triangle mean?

I am currently very unhappy with what was, up tpo then, a lovely phone.

Problem fixed.

After reading the answer to a related post suggested by the system after I asked this question, I followed the instructions and it fixed my phone.

Basically, use the PC to perform a software upgrade via the USB cable with the phone off.  See the moderator's post for detailed instructions, but the program, once downloaded is simple and clear to use.

I am now a happy bunny.
