Where do I place a music file so I can use it as an alarm?

I blindly deleted all my music files from my Xperia P using the 'Media Go' function of the Sony PC Companion, thinking I was freeing up space to add some different music files, only afterwards did I realise that I had also deleted tunes I was using as ringtones, notifications and alarms.

Luckily for me I have been able to transfer them back from an old phone BUT I cant seem to remember where I need to file one particular tune so I can use it as an alarm??

Basically, where do I file an mp3 to use it as an alarm tone ?

Weirdly I have searched for a generic alarm tone on my phone through my PC thinking this would show me to the file route, then I could just add my mp3 file to that area, but my PC could not find the alarm title that was listed on my phone.

Tap on one of the alarms,go to notification sound and then select the music note in the right corner and that will take you to your music files,where you can select.

This does not work, If I open an alarm I get 'Alarm Sound' not notification sound, and when I open alarm sound I get a choice of ways to do things, I can go via 'Android System' or 'Sound Picker' but neither way takes me to my music files. There are just some pre-loaded Sony beeps etc.

So I still need to know where to file a music file so I can choose it as an alarm sound

Alarm > select an alarm > Alarm sound > tap on the music note (top right corner)  > select the artist > song

haha..once you put mp3 file on your phone it automtically shows up on you walkman app,and if you want to use it as alarm or notification sound you will have to look for a music note on the upper right corner of the screen..and taraaaa!! choose your song!!
