Hi I am sue this is all sorted now for you. However for those that are still encountering "WALKMAN,has stopped" immediately after ICS update read on, I did just this at 8pm last night. Discovered the Walkman problem. When it was complete and I thought everything had finished updating.
Phone was off over night but still had same issue in morning. Spoke to Sony support as I know what a pain a repair a repair can be. Anyway they concluded a repair needed by mid morning and much debate.
Anyway I did not do this as just don't have the time just now and I am very glad. Looks like their may be further background updates that take several hours to come through. Because......... The problem has gone away and WALKMAN is working like a dream.
So the old adage "good things come to those that wait" seems to have come true.
Missinggallery shortcut easily restored by afadding ' album' to media folder - easy.
Otherwise apart from not being able to hide keyboard with long press of menu key my only other issue is a jumping cursor when editing this text.
