Update Xperia U with New 6.0.B.3.171(3 Jul 2012)

After 6.0.B.3.162 update I am facing severe network drop every 30mins, have to restart the cell to get network access. Please tell me how to update my phone to new release 6.0.B.3.171.

Is this update available in INDIA ???

PCC says my xperia U is having latest software i.e. 6.0.B.3.162

Issue is resolved after .184 update

1) Yes it became poor being on its latest update, with even not much of its usage .

2) I can't say about screen if its like xperia mini pro as have never seen or used that phone ... For difference maybe others can reply or why not check on youtube a preview/unboxing,etc closely .?!

let me tell u that if u can afford to shell out Rs 16k for a phone then this is the phone u r looking for.

maybe this shows, that these builds are made by the company on such n such dates, but will be provided later slowly on a different date, that's why many or all havn't got the 6.0.b.3.171 update yet, or maybe some might directly now get the .177 one , depends on what the company has in mind always in the end!

Check out if this solution works for your guys cos it did for me

Install the application Juice Defender from google play (purchasing the ultimate version will give you all the additional features, which really are awesome and is a good idea (especially due to the battery drain Android phones are known for).

Open it and set each item as per your requirement.

Some options should be done as follows:

In Controls

Ensure Autosync mode is on Ping 

Keep Enabled mode should not be selected

In Schedules

Enable periodic connectivity

In Triggers

Enable Screen option and Traffic option

What this does is as soon as the screen goes off, it disables wifi/data connectivity (though sync option will continue to check your mails periodically) and then there is no signal drop.  When you put the screen on, it will connect to wifi/data as per their availibility.

Do let me know how it goes.

Hi Guys. i updated it to  6.0.B.3.162 , now it works better !!! drop signals didn't happend at all !!!

I updated it with SUS btw ...

no update till yet

i talked to customer care, they are saying that the phone will be changed if you go to service centre but it will take atleast 2 weeks and i have to go to my college next week.

my phone is excellent hardware wise but for now its more of a gaming console than phone because of the bug!!!!!!!!!!!

i wont ever recommend sony ever to anyone
