Unable to update to ICS Xperia go

Hi,

I've been trying for ages to update my phone but everytime the update gets to the part where you have to re connect the phone whilst holding down the down volume key it crashes my PC,  anyone know how to get round this please?

Found it was the front USB ports, plugged in the rear and it worked, now all updated thanks!
