The problem you are asking of memory card shown empty is not a problem of phone , but SONY.

previous year models use to come with SD slot, so this option shows that memory , sinc P has no external slot, so it is shown as NEGATIVE.

firmware supplied still is of ERICSSON age

But if you connect the Pen drive through micro usb cable, then it will show the memory ,as that counts in the external memory and hence as MEMORY CARD !!  Smiling_Face_with_open_mouth_&_closed_Eyes

Second thing about STRIP , this thing needs to be replaced at the earliest, since it is antennae in itself, your phone can stop receiving SIM functions !!!  Anguished_Face

You cannot do this without getting SONY SERVICE CENTRE, better contact your suppier for repair/ faulty peice replacement. I am sure they must provide this, otherwise you would be fool enough to trust an online retailer for such a highly priced electronic gadget.  Smiling_Face_with_Horns

Cellular device are generally not covered under international warranty, so refrain from making such purchases in future, before asking the comapny about warranty claims !!  Winking_Face

Try with SUS,with factory data reset.Maybe it is a bug from ICS,but you could take it to a sony centre so they tell you what's wrong.

i did repair with factory reset, erased internal storage then did the repair using SUS and also with PCC still same result. everything works fine though but i am just curious to know why is mine like that because i saw my frnd's xperia p and he has number under the memory card section.

than there is nothing else you can do beside waiting for a firmware update too see if it changes something or take the phone to a sony centre.

But the thing is im living in canada, i bought this phone online from a US website and they import phones from UK. i called customer service in canada and they said my phone is only covered in UK. i have other problems with the phone too (i can see the liquid thing in transparent strip) Not sure what to do now. I dont wanna go to UK to get it fixed :|. if a sony moderator can help me with my situation it will be highly appreciated .
