Skype formerly worked well, now it does not connect

I have Android 4.04  on may Xperia Ray. Skype worked well until recently (with WLAN). Then it took more and more time to connect and now it does not succeed at all. Should I delete and reinstall it? Who has similar experience?

just remember that you do not need antivirus nor taskillers.

you should try that, uninstall it and reinstall it, also an antivirus or taskiller might be acting up

Yes, it helped and I have now a suspicion: Immediately after installation the  "Onavo count" -App asked me if I want to restrict Skype to WLAN , since it consumes much data. Some time ago I choose "Yes".

Now I chose "No" . Let´s see what happens!

I always logged out after I used Skype and  I suspect that Skype needs by login a mobile connection.

Now I did not logged  out.

I will report within a few days about the new behaviour of Skype.

I have deleted  Onavo count and I have no problems with Skype anymore.

Thanks!

However, I still use Norton lite (antivirus) without problems.
