I have just purchased the WT19i whilst in Hongkong as it had the capability of switching between english and chinese characters.
But just recently I had a SIM update and now the phone is stuck in international keyboard mode and the button to switch to the chinese keyboard has disappeared.
Open messaging > press and hold you finger on the white box where text appears when typing > tap 'Input Method" > then see if you have Chinese keyboard as an option.
