se live with walkman modem prb

can't see any modem installed in my laptop device manager after installed pc companion and connected with my phone via usb cable

i don't want to share internet from phone to laptop by usb tether,wifi hotspot or bluetooth

but i want to see modem installed to make(create) a new dialup connection *99# and with apn network info. (username,password.....etc)

plz help me bcz i'll get crazy i've just buy this awesome phone for this feature only & if it didn't found on it i'll sell it

ok I'm a bit confused, do you want to

1) use your phone's data plan and tether/share with your computer?

or

2) use your laptop's Internet and share it with your phone?

yes but i want to make two connections independant each other themselves

i mean that i want when removing the sign from Data Enabled the net disconnected on phone but can access in laptop,why???

because the phone uses as a 3g modem dongle not for sharing internet or a net source.

this happened me with acer liquid e with froyo android v2.2

i hope u get me now and solve my prb soon,,thx in advance

ok I think I understand what you are saying.

You want to turn off the data on your phone BUT you want keep tethering the 3G data to your computer? it won't work, Data must be enabled for it to work, it being tethering.

so there's no solution for this prb

otherwise downgrade my mobile to froyo android v2.2

it's now gingerbread version

I would know if this prb from hardware or software???

but it's not a problem its the way Android work, this phone was released with Android 2.3 so there's no froyo for this phone.

there are myriad tethering apps on the market, but you need to leave data enabled

thanks but i can do tether by 3 different method without any application except of bluetooth

so thank you again , it seems u couldn't understand what i need to do.
