screen turns off with with line like on an old tv . I want it back , please...

hi, I just got my dream mini pro after a year. Sk17a 2.3.4 and I loved how the screen turned down or locked with a white line like on an old tv.and after I updated it as I think it disappeared.i really miss it how can I get it back???? Please help!!! I know it is not a big problem but I would like. It back!!! Thank you!!?

Sorry for bringing this up on your thread, but this is something that has been on my mind recently:

I just bought the Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini (my Android version is 2.3.3) and something happens when I turn on the screen (press the Home or the on/off button): instead of the screen lightning up instantly, it goes up on a "2-step" procedure. I don't know how to explain exactly, but here's a video that demonstrates well what I'm talking about:

At 0:30 he will turn on the screen, and you can see that the screen slightly "blinks" before turning completely on.

Does that happens with you? What's your Android and region version?

use Update Service or PC Companion  to update your phone

Hi, my mini does not do this. I have a 2.3.4 android . sk17a.  I'm sorry but i am not an expert but these guys who were nice and answered my question , they are awesome!!!!!! you should do what they suggest they could solve you problem I hope !  :smileyhappy::smileyhappy:

but still new xperia user is correct on his point , he should get to know if hez the only one suffering the problem or not..

hi again there were a new update but no old tv effect.   i sent an email to sony, and they replied check the official blog.... how can i find anything there???? I tried but i could not. so i am still using the app and waiting for the old effect.

An other one and sorry, i am tried to find answer here, but i am lost. For example when i want to open something on the internet, first my phone says could not dowload setting. After 3 attempts it says go to sonyericson.com and get the correct settings. ?? I tried on my phone what i found here : setting- internet settings- I accept what it says, but the answer is the same i don't have data package on the phone, I am using wi-fi at home, maybe that is the reason?

they probably ment to check the official blog to read about any updates or info on updates, but there hasn't been anything important (this is my personal opinion I think Rikard was doing a great job at the blog)

on your phone go to

settings -> sony ericsson -> internet settings

Yes, he is really great , it is my mistake that there are so many information i don t understand

on the internet setting it says your phone will now conect to the Internet, for quick setup of internet and mms service. data transmission charges may apply. I accept this and the next messege i : could not download settings. I go and check the thread

check the part on how to "manually" enter the APN settings, remember that you need a data plan
