Screen Damage

Hi! Can anyone help me please?   I've had my phone damaged this evening, through no fault of my own, and when I put the phone back together I discovered that the screen has been damaged.   I have a black screen, apart from a series of colours down the left hand side.  I was able to answer a call on the phone because I managed to swipe the phone in the right place,  I could hear and be heard on the phone.  Can anyone tell me what is wrong with my screen, and what I need to repair on it, and the average cost please?  I'm presuming that the touch screen isn't broken, as I was able to answer the call,  rather that the LCD screen is knackered?  How much is this likely to cost me to replace please?

did you dropped the phone? most likely the LCD it's damaged, you have to contact Sony to ask how much it will cost you, or you can do it yourself

Hi, thanks for the replies.  Yes, the phone was knocked out of my hand by a stroppy individual. The battery cover came off, and I realised after I'd put it back on that the screen was goosed.  I found that video on a search last night, but I can't seem to find anything or anywhere to buy a replacement screen?  Would it be possible for you to direct me to website where I can get one please? I couldn't find anything on ebay last night, but maybe I was using the wrong search words, I don't know.  I'd be grateful for any help, I'd like it fixed asap so that the offending person can arrange payment on it! Using a crappy old samsung in the meantime.

Thank you for those.  I'll have to have a look for a supplier a little closer to home tho, as those will take weeks to come and I'll most likely have to pay import duty on it too, which will make the cost far too high really.  But I'll use those titles to search, thanks!
