rooting neo v with 4.0.2.A.0.62(gingerbread) firmware...

hi super users..i installed ICS officially thru pc companion last week but not satisfied with its performance mainly wifi problems..so i downgraded it by service centre to 4.0.2.A.0.62(gingerbread) firmware and i am in love with it again...now i want to root my phone if i use doomlords method then i have to revert back to 4.0.2.A.0.42 first but main problem is if i update my phone officially then again ICS will be installed....help

instead i found another method :

http://androidadvices.com/root-sony-ericsson-xperia-neo-easy-tutorial/

everthing done except the comands given ,,when i type them in cmd..it says fastboot is not a recognised command-not an internal or external command..help me on the last part...

thanks...

do not unlock the bootloader. the method works without that:http://www.androidust.com/root-sony-xperia-neo-v-on-62-firmware/

If you use doomlord script, you probably don't have to downgrade to .42 firmware. Just find a kernel from .42 fw as an ftf file and flash it over .62 firmware, root and then flash .62's kernel back. Flashing just a kernel doesn't affect on root.
