My phone protective case's paint came off and sticked to the black Acro S casing, please see attached image.
Anyone had any experience on removing paint on the Acro S?
Will thinner/turpentine remove the black paint too (which I wish to prevent) ?

they will most probably not replace the cover free of cost becoz its not a defect from their part..
the paint might have diffused a little bit with the cover..
try using it without protective case.it will automatically reduce due to daily use in a month or so.
its similar to ball pen marks on a white phone which themselves get removed with time..

I do not reccomend to put any harsh chemical on your phone, as it might damage it, just try with simple tap water and a little bit of soap. maybe you need to replace the back cover, try contacting your local service http://www.sonymobile.com/global-en/support/contact-us/
Thanks Ahmar for the input, I didn't know its a complete blackplastic
I have tried the followings with NO luck:
- turpentine
- warm water with soap
- veg oil on the external paint, left for half an hour
- alcohol 75%
- zippo (just alcohol again)
fortunately the black cover still look great with no corrosive damage at all.
So as nolramlb said, I will take it to the support centre in HK and see if they will replace the cover, if not, then I will try thinner as the last resort.

I went to the support center.
Since the phone body case is not being covered by the warranty, they will replace it for USD12 (HKD100), which is not a bad deal at all.
They too not recommand me to use thinner, as it may damage the black texture...
So I decided to use it without external phone case just as Ahmar said and let it wears off.
Only to replace it later. Its actually cheaper to get Sony to replace the case than buying an expensive external case.
