refund

Hi everyone,

I’m hoping someone here can offer some advice or share their experience with Sony’s return and refund process.

I purchased a Sony WF1000XM5B.CE7 and, after I git it it was so uncomfortable to wear that I decided to return it after a few days5 days maybe, followed all the necessary steps . I received an email confirming that the product was collected, and I even have the tracking number to show the return was completed. However, it’s been over 4 weeks since the collection, and I have yet to receive my refund.

I’ve been in touch with Sony’s customer support team multiple times, but they are now telling me that since I reported the issue after two weeks from the return, they cannot escalate the matter. They also mentioned that my returned item wasn’t scanned, but I don’t have the product anymore—it’s been collected and is no longer in my possession.

I’ve provided all the necessary documentation (return receipt, tracking info, and confirmation of collection), and I’m left without my money and without the product.

Has anyone else here gone through something similar? What steps did you take to resolve it? Is there a way to escalate this further? I’m considering contacting consumer protection organizations or even pursuing a chargeback with my bank, but I’d love to hear if anyone has faced this issue and what worked for them.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Best,

^Hello

I had a similar problem with a free accessory that Sony first refused to give because they said there was a procedure problem for getting the thing. This was last year with an Xperia. I send many mails to the Sony organisation (sonyeurope@etmail.sony-europe.comand the distributor's shop in Belgium. It took from june to november, but I got my promised WH-1000XM5. Keep asking politely ...
