I had the same problem.
The problem resolved it self by putting the phone in a window and keeping the map open and screen on for about half an hour, maybe less.
It is important the screen is on, as the GPS function stops when the screen turns off.
I think there is something buggy with the AGPS data stored in the update, and the phone fixes it once it has had a good fix for some time.
