Problem with Graphic Password/Security question/Google account

I'm having problem with the methods to unlock the screen on a Xperia Mini Pro, sk17i. Our youngest daughter uses this phone to play with. But since I expect this will happen again I'd thought I should try to figure it out once and for all.
I have set up Everything with Google-account, security questin and graphic Password for our daughter on this Telephone. But, of Course, she managed to use up all 20 attempts with the graphical Password without getting it right. I then tried to unlock the piece with answering the security question. Being the one WHO had set it up in the first Place I'd thought it would not be a problem. But it was. I then then tried unlocking the phone with the Google-account information. I can access the Google-account with this information from any other platforn, computer or phone, but obviously not from this phone. I get the reply "Incorrect Password or username!" immediately so I don't suppose the information is checked over the net even thought the phone has Wi-Fi access.
Any information on this topic would be very appreciated.

I found a solution. Don't remember where.

Anyway I followed the instructions:

1. Press and hold the Back and Menu buttons.
2. Press and release the power button. Keep on pressing the Back and Menu keys until the phone turns on completely.
3. Press the Emergency Call button to go to the phone`s dialer.
4. Press *#*#7378423#*#*.
5. Choose Customization Setting.
6. On the next screen, choose Reset customization.
7. Reboot the phone. Once it boots up, the pattern lock will be gone and the phone is good as new.

And it worked. 🙂

Reseting the piece to factory default.

Nice that it worked but not so nice with security functions that don't work and only makes things more difficult.
