phone going haywire and cant update

Needing some help if anyone can.

My xperia mini is pulsing through vibrate and i cant select things like messeges etc. Alarms have been anoying as well because they dont turn off.

I have tried to update on phone but cant because of problem above and when doing it through computer is says cant get updaate to start. I dont know if this will even fix my problem.

Really not happy with this phone and would be very happy with and sugestions.

SUS ( Sony Update Service)  ... download and install it on pc and follow the on-screen instructions http://www-support-downloads.sonymobile.com/Software%20Downloads/Update_Service_Setup-2.11.12.5.exe
