I recently got an XperiaT and really like the phone. However there is one small part that is irritating me that I can't find a solution to. With the screen locked, I expected that the notification LED would flash when I receive a new message - as documented on the support page:
http://www.sonymobile.com/global-en/support/faq/liveview/liveview/notification-led/
However, the only time LED iluminates is when charging.
Anyone know where the setting is to enable this?
Thanks
Adrian
PS - I have already upgraded the firmware to 7.0.A.3.195 but it has not helped

I have just tested this on an Xperia T with the .195 FW and was not able to replicate the problem. Perhaps you could try to reinstall the phone software using SUS and check if this problem still remains.
Check the settings in the messaging application itself. If you go into the application, tap on the menu key then tap on settings. Make sure that Notification Light has been ticked.

'Notification light' definitely ticked in 'Messaging' / Settings
I have been doing a little more analysis. It appears that the notificaiotn LED works fine if I receive a message and the handset is not 'sleeping' - but if I receive a message while the handset is in sleep mode the LED does not illuminate to let me know a new message has arrived.

OK thanks - I will try this and come back to you with the results
Just to let you know that I re-installed the phone software again this evening as you suggested and the LED is now working as expected. I performed the reinstall this time using the SUS tool as opposed to the PC Companion which I had used first - maybe there is some slight difference there.
Anyhow - thanks alot for the direction and support, much appreciated. I honestly never thought I would get so intimate with a phone in my life
