Sony rep said in some french forum that sp won't get 4.4 so looks like they polished 4.3 and after this update they'll end support for sp.

Well, let's hope it's a good one. I have 6 months warranty left (I think) - there should be a good KitKat custom ROM around by then.

I'm really disappointed with this.

I've bought SP also because of the "future version" for KitKat.

18 months of support???

Yeah, it's not great. 18 months is nothing considering a lot of people will have bought an SP in the past couple of months. Companies feel pressure to bring out new handsets that make people want to upgrade - nobody wants to end up like HTC did before turning it around with the One.

Anyway, hopefully this release turns out good (better RAM management would seal it for me) and we can always install a custom ROM when the time comes.
