Updated yesterday, a 12.2 MB OTA download (Xperia SP unbranded, operator TIM Italy).
So far it's looking good, lag is minimal, more free RAM, but more testing is needed.

Rather than depend on Sony or android I would rather keep my phone clutter free, free ram with updated and tweaked hardware!
Can you provide more information about these add-ons and updates that you are mentioning ?
@fedebt may the update gods be with you.
@danial I've Uninstalled Facebook on. 266 but with this new update I can't do it anymore.
Edit -- in my previous reply I missed the 'non' part. New Facebook version is actually non-Uninstallable.

If you want to kill some time, then flash it manually, realise that you aren't missing anything and that in fact the old 4.1.2. firmware performs better than either update. Downgrade again.Go to bed, cos it'll be well after midnight when you're done.
I speak from experience!
Sorry if somebody already asked this, but can you update directly from 4.1.2 to the new firmware, or do you have to update to 12.1.A.0.266 first?
I also have the same question. I actually downgraded to 4.1 two weeks ago. I don't want to go back to laggy software unless I am absolutely sure.
Can any one confirm if the walkman's monotonous LED at high volume is fixed?
