keeps restarting

my phone(xperia U) keeps on restarting from the point when XPERIA appears and nt responding to poweroff button until i pull out the battery.
it's showing an error "system UI has stopped" a couple of hours before this problem occured.
help me! what to do?

Connect the phone to wall charger,charge for 1 hour,repair with sony update service.

I tried to do that but my phone does not even connects to pc companion, the screen is black until it start restarting again.
