Hi looking at getting Jabra freeway Bluetooth car speaker phone, I have contacted the manufacturer regarding sms messages, asking will I receive a notification sound when I receive a message.

Jabra reply was" Phone dependant some do some don't."

Anyone know if Xperia U has this facility.

I am aware of services that will read texts etc, all I am looking for is a sound notification.

I think it depends on what Bluetooth profiles the Jabra car speaker uses. If it runs on A2DP it should also be able to play the message notification from your phone when you receive an incoming SMS.

Thanks Johan, decided to get one, arrived yesterday, I can confirm notification sounds work.
