Is this normal for the power button? + a few rooting questions

I just noticed this and I don't know if it has been persistent ever since I bought the phone but the power button is slightly "inner" than the volume and the camera button, thus, making it hard to press it at certain angles. Does your Active have the same issue? I'm worried the power button is already worned out. O:

But I just bought it this April!

I just rooted my Gingerbread with firmware .62. So far, I want to know what the latest ICS firmware is (the one I know is 4.0.4, is this the latest) and also, will flashing ICS onto my GB delete my apps and settings? When I rooted GB, I had to downgrade to firmware .42 then re-update to .62 and no data on my phone got wiped out in the process. I want to know if this is the same thing when I do it with ICS.

So you have the "sunken" feel to it too?

yes, the power button is more "softer to  press" compared to the volume and camera keys. Slightly_smiling_Face

Power button is "less proud" than the other two.

@nolramlb, yep, I had that too before, but I fixed it when I dropped my phone by "accident". I put quotes in there because it was kinda intentional and my goal was to shake the phone so that the O/I button popped back to its normal state again. Dizzy_Face

I do NOT recmmend people to try this. It might void your warranty but I don't have any warranties to void anymore because I just unlocked my bootloader, so yeah. Slightly_smiling_Face

PS.

Doing it wrongly can also damage your phone.
