I heard my friends saying that xperia s doesn't have wifi direct facility.so i went in search of it in my xperia s and i felt they were kinda true about it.Again i went through the phone specs to make sure that xperia s has got that facility.....i found wifi direct present in it.And if it's true,please tell me how to activate it.And i even want to know what actually DLNA is?and how to use it......thank you

There is no feature called WIFI DIRECT in Sony Xperia S till now.

I have sent mail to sony regarding no option to access wifi direct. No reply to my mail. I have sent four mails so far.

Call center they expalining about DLNA when i ask for wifi direct

Sony show room they telling that Sorry Sir We expeted it would come on ICS update but it didnt. So wait and see for Jelly Bean Update to get WIFI DIRECT. I asked them What to do if it didnt come in Jelly Bean. They replied we cant do anything. Either contact Sony or Sony Trainner for south India and they gave trainer mobile number.

I bought Sony Xperia S LT26i mobile Three months back. In mobile specification they mentioned me that wifi direct option is present with the mobile. From the next os update to ICS I can use it. But still there is no option to use to use Wifi Direct. When i contacted Sony call center they told you have that feature but you cant use it. Silly answer. Sony is unfaithful to its consumers. When i asked in Sony showroom they told me that It might be available from next updated named Jelly Bean.

Go to Sony Show room ask them to show the Demo of WIFI DIRECT.

They will tell like it used stream files to tv.
Then whats the use of DLNA

Any wifi enabled smart phone can stream video with wifi direct tv. For this wifi direct is not compulsory with mobile. Even in the below video you can find the option wifi direct in tv menu. But there is no such option like that in mobile.
