iphone 4s camera sensor is manufactured by sony..

so they can help other phones to get advanced and have better quality..but not in their phone itself..

plz fix the compression rate issue and all other problems with the camera.. ASAP...

well obviously i knew that

many car companies ( due to lack of sales ) provies even the engines to other companies.....

like fiat to maruti suzuki... ( diesel engines )

well what i meant is this , if fiat knows that their cars have no sales but huge manufacturing plant , suzuki products on the other hand have higher sales and demand , in order to keep the demand and supply the same , they take engines from fiat..

to survive fiat has to sell just engines ,

but remind you , if maruti modifies the engine in a better way , why would they share the technology with fiat ?? fiat is getting money for what they are offering...

Well, I agree with you.. Maruti-Suzuki, they themselves modifies such good engines, but they still knows.. to put a diesel engine in a small car, the best engine technology they can find is with Fiat (patented). so they have to borrows its technology or sometimes they gives straight production order.

I believe, likewise Sony is always been famous and reputed for the best in Camera technology from years. A lence is an important thing in Camera.

so it's preety obvious and possible, that apple can use sony's lence to fit in Apple Iphones. (possible)

Nope,

not necessary to work as same. because some by default company setting (like white balance, brightness, contrass etc) are also differes as per company to company.

So ideally, it should be same, but not necessary. anyway.. more or less images are pretty equal, because of lence.

hmm you said it,,,, al that white balance etc features you mentioned is developed or set by a respective company...

if apple was able to enhance the quality of the sensor , why sony is behind

we are just saying this and nothing else hope you understood what i'm saying

and no the pics are not the same , just look at the scores also , arc has a red highlight in most of the operations..

and i have personally clicked with iphone 4s , and the results were awful for the arc...

but i agree , zoom sucks in apple..

i realy want the sony devs to take care of this and we should get the same quality as apple's

I agree with you,

even I have Arc S, and while reading that  "8 MP - Shootout" , I was expecting Arc to be one of the best amongs in top. but it's on secong last position.

I didn't really liked it.

I have seen and used iPhone4 and 4s, as all other staff in my office use it with BB. Only, me I'm using SE, haha.

and yes, its a shameful thing for Sony, who is actually producing these electronics and its componenets since years and years...

and few new companies are now beating them in Sony's own expertise field.. its SAD :smileysad:.

Point No 2..

In my Arc S, I have been given to choose to choose picture at 2MP, 4MP, 6MP, and 8MP.

So, i think picture quality you can choose before you click a picture. that functution is already given by SE now.

I hope SE will start giving "Tilt-Shift Photography" function with all good camera phones. which even comes with lower end phones from HTC.

SE should do it.
