iphone 4s camera sensor is manufactured by sony..

so they can help other phones to get advanced and have better quality..but not in their phone itself..

just like intel manuafactur cpu for iMac is better but slow when comes to their own.

sony is produce for apple, but not design.

apple design the architecture, hold the benchmark and ask someone to make it according what they need.
