Cpu load issue

Now, im rather new to android phones but i got the xperia play 4g from att. Its running the latest available release.

The issue is the cpu is at constant 100% usage. After looking around i found out that part of the kernel is taking around 80% of total cpu usage (running non stop). The file is located at system/bin/lidswitchd... Because its kernel you cant turn it off, so my question is does anyone know what its responsible for? maybe knowing what it does, illl be able to fix it.

to get the latest update you need to debrand your phone, AT&T is really slow on releasing updates to their phones, so even if the latest update its available for SIM free phones or European networks AT&T won't release it

go to settings -> about phone and check

Android Version and Build Number

yes it does, unless you flashback the original ROM Dizzy_Face

but you can try to see if AT&T has released any new update

1) backup everything

then

2)

Update Service (SEUS)
