cant install pc companion and No music folder in xperia u internal storage

well when i tried to connect xperia u with my pc, the pc companion software couldnt install from the phone and when i checked the pc companion folder it was of only 1.79 mb in size and the driver folder inside it was empty. any way i downloaded pc companion directly fom sony's site and was able to connect my phone and pc. when i connected them i saw that there was no music and video folder in internal storage (dont know if it is normal).  i only saw the following folders : android,dcim,lost.dir,tmp,whatsapp.

so i am just curious if this is normal or an issue with my device only.

my bad I had two threads open, (I thought it was the Sola Dizzy_Face

in the internal memory there should be a Music folder. connect your phone to your PC -> then go to My Computer -> Xperia U -> internal Storage -> Music

I have the Xperia S they are quite similar

ok i will download sus but is it an alternative for pc companion to transfer all types of files and also is it normal for a phone to not have a music folder by default as all of my other phones had it by default.

you don't need a program to transfer files, just mount your phone and trasnfer your files directly.

yes but xperia u doesnt has a slot for mico sd card. it instead provides 4gb for media files in form of  internal storage (  its more like an internal sd card) and has a separate 2 gb for phone memory and since i cant find appropriate folders i dont know where to put my music and videos.

can u tell me the exact name of folders for music and videos in xperia nxt series phones i will try making them manually and see if it works

thanks man as i was suspecting there wasnt any folder for music on the phone by default so i will create it manually. it would be really helpful if u can list the names of all folders that the internal storage has by default cos my phones internal storage has some missing i guess.

that's quite odd, you can always do a factory reset, just create the Music folder at the root of the Internal Storage NOT inside another folder, I don't think the folders will be the same between the S and U
