Can't update Xperia Neo

Dear,

I just bought a new Xperia Neo, when I connect it to Sony PC Companion it's say that I need to update for the new software.

It gives me instructions to remove the usb cables, turn the phone off and then insert the usb cables again while holding the return key. I do this but nothing happens.

I tried on bridge on my mac but that one doesn't even say that there is new software available, I have never updated it.

Can anyone help me?

yeah that will be an issue, but you can always select which songs/albums you want to be available offline

In my privacy tab there is no 'back up my date and automatic restore function'?

Also, where would it save the back-up? On my SD cart? because that one would be completely full already then
