Bluetooth notification discoverability

A few days ago I wanted to show my dad how to pair via bluetooth, so I tapped my phones name in the bluetooth settings menu to make it visible. Since then I constantly get the annoying notification : "You are now discoverable by your friends". Does anyone know what causes this, and most of all, how to get rid of it?? Tried all the logical things; restart my phone, switch off and on again my bluetooth, switch off bluetooth and turn off phone for the entire night, change time-out for visibility. I'm running out of ideas. Please help...

Okay, I've reinstalled my phone. Hope now that it was worth all the trouble. Only thing I apparently did not backe-up properly is my whatsapp. Lost all my conversations...:smileycry:.

Well, I was really carefull. I made a backup, googled where I would find that backup, saved the folders both from my sd card and from my internal storage on my pc. But I don't know what stuff is saved in a backup, there are no conversations reappearing in my whatsapp. But I'm really starting to believe that I got rid of the notification. Even turned on bluetooth and connected with my carkit.

At least now you can really enjoy your device.Maybe the conversations needed exporting,not the whatsapp app backup itself.

Yeah, maybe. Whatsapp wasn't very clear about it. But I think I can savely conclude now that my problem is solved. Thanks a lot.

Yeah, I see. But most important it worked an may be helpfull to someone else one day. I never had such a strange error on a sony before.
