AT&T 2G/3G and the Ray st18i?

I would just like to say first that I love my Xperia Ray.  It's the first Android phone that I've had that was small, thin and pretty - most are huge and not great for someone who has small hands.  And it has a great camera - which is very important to me.

But recently, I've been experiencing lots of no network availability after always having superb reception.  It appears that I am in an area where AT&T is squeezing users out of the 2G band and my lovely little phone will now only work out in the middle of parking lots.  I knew when I bought it that I was sacrificing 3G but it was the only way I could get a gold one affordably.  And I don't use data except for wifi, so I thought it would be okay.

My question is - does the "a" version do AT&T 3G?  If not, is there another Xperia coming out soon that is the same form factor as the Ray?

Thanks,

Terry

here you go

http://www.sonymobile.com/gb/

and

http://www.sonymobile.com/gb/xperia/

and the new Xperias are compatible with both AT&T and Tmobile USA's 2G and 3G networks

The Xperia U is a downgrade (the camera) and the others don't have the small form factor.

That's too bad.  I guess I should look around for an "a", then.

The Ray has an 8 mp camera, the Sola a 5.  My last phone was the Nokia N8, and I was willing to downgrade from the 12 mp camera for the Ray but I don't want to go any lower.  I'm not crazy about phones without expandable memory, either.

I've decided to buy an ST18A. I really do love this phone and it seems like there won't be an upgrade anytime soon.

Thanks,

Terry

well the N8 still has one of the best cameras, it has a massive sensor and amazing lenses but other than that its not a great phone.

I don't think they'll be other 8mp phones or similar to the Ray
