This is just another problem for this useless phone.
I have got some apps which are mere junk and there is no way to uninstall them without rooting the phone. Let me illustrate it by facts instead of using hyperboles or being rhetorical.
I have got 8 GB internal memory. I have 3 GB consumed by Android operating system software. Apps consume 3.25 GB and the rest "Miscellaneous" has 680 MB and the rest are insignificant.
Out of 3.25 GB of apps, I have only 11 apps (and none are big excepting Whatsapp; For example, I use Facebook Lite) and 5 more apps that I have developed (Space of those is close to 5 MB per app).
Rest of it is junk. Some of the worst apps which is back-firing against Sony-mobile instead of promoting them. Consider this useless app: Sony Support. It is such a junk that it has only a WebView integrated into it. It hangs and works like crap (Ok. Maybe crap is better than this). So, I ended up posting this using the web-browser instead of the Sony-support app.
I have both "Email" and "Gmail" apps as system apps (What??!) I have "Album" and "Photos" as system apps, "News", "What's New" and "Play Newsstand" as system apps. Ironic part: I had downloaded some apps like YouTube and they have been 'converted' to system apps.
Now, I get notifications that "Some system functions may not work".
Here is the list of obviously junk apps that I need to uninstall:
a. AR Effect (59 MB)
b. Calculator (If you like my comments: This is crap and I would rather use Google for it)
c. Downloads (I have File Commander for this)
d. Gmail (I can use Chrome and log in) (46 MB)
e. "Google" app (191 MB)
f. Google+ (Chrome replaces this useless junk) (62 MB)
g. Hangouts (Chrome replaces this useless junk) (73 MB)
i. LINE (I use my favorite Whatsapp and FB Messenger) (192 MB)
j. "Lounge" (I have almost forgotten this crap exists in phone) (35 MB)
k. "Maps" (Chrome replaces this useless junk) (128 MB)
l. "News"
m. "Photos" (Album app is enough for me) (91 MB)
n. "Play Books" (35 MB)
o. "Play Games" (30 MB)
p. "Play Movies & TV" (I have never seen a single movie with this) (38 MB)
q. "Play Newsstand" (39 MB)
r. Sketch (40 MB)

Honestly speaking, many of these 'junk apps' are not really junk. They are extraordinary apps. But, Sony mobile has somehow made them junk by cluttering them together. I have 13 GB of memory left on 16 GB micro SD card and yet phone space is limited and I can't update apps even after removing two more apps! (I am using only 9 apps now!)
BTW, I am sorry. I am sorry to my mom for making her feel bad everytime she tells me that she got it for my 20th birthday. I am NOT sorry to this Sony mobile division. Sony products are great (seriously). I liked Cameras, CDs etc (no sarcasm here. Seriously). But, this phone is a mere piece of junk and no better than a block of brick.
P.S.: Everyone who I showed regarding the phone to, condemned it and I am obviously not in a position to assert myself as a 'techie' given this junk phone which I carry.
