Hey there,
My wife bought a Sony M4 Acqua in May 2016. The Camera and Mic stopped working in Dec 2016 . When i took it to the authorised center they told me that it would cost half of the phone price to repair as the motherboard needs to be changed. So i asked her to ditch the phone and got her OnePlus. A month back i took the phone again to the Authorised Service Center and got it reparied. You know what it has been not even a months time I'm facing the same issue. Camera and Mic is not working. So i went back again to the Servie Center to check out the issue. They are asking me to deposit the phone for furhter investingation. I googled the issue and found out that lot of users of this model have reported the issue. Looks like the product is defective and Sony has not done anything about it. Now i'm feeling cheated. Now i have to find another phone and back up everything to deposit the phone for investigation. Look at the time that goes into it. I always thought that premium brands are about experience and looking at the way Sony has handled this M4 Acqua issue i feel Sony phones are not worth the price you guys are selling it for. Looking at the money i have invested on this phone, i could have got a iPhone. Feeling bad for chosing Sony.
I'm sorry to hear about the bad experience, but this is a global user based forum, only your Local support can help you.
I just have one question, if you were considering getting an iPhone why didn't you bought a Sony flagship instead of a low end phone? just wondering
I have spent $550 on this phone for repair and purchase. Another $100 I would have got an iPhone. What do you mean I should have got a flagship phone? The kind of performance and support I got from this product made me thinking that good I dint invest on Sony flagship. You know this a global problem and Sony did absolutely nothing to deal with it. What difference would it make if had got a flagship. Or Should I assume that Sony treats it flagship Phone customer differently.? BTW I got my wife a oneplus last year for the cost I spent on this phone. Performance has been solid to this date.
