Set song as ringtone?

Hi,

I have an Xperia M4 Aqua and I have tried several apps to download songs on my device. Now, I want a song as the ringtone for one of my contacts but when I've downloaded the song, I can't find it when I press "change ringtone" on the contact. So, I was wondering if anyone knows how to solve this

make sure that the song is on the internal storage and that you are legally downloading the songs.
