Not able to backup M5

I am not able to backup my phone since past 14 days

The process gets stuck at 50% for 30 mins even when the time left is less than 1 min

I have tried to backup with Xperia Companion on pc which returns an error as below:

Code error : GetBackupInfoFailed
CompanionBR 2563

What all I have tried:

Uninstall Xperia Companion, clean registry and reinstall Xperia Companion

I don't want to do a software repair without a back up....Any suggestions ???

have you tried to do the back up on the device settings?

it sometimes helps to just select a few apps to backup.

Yes, I have tried that as well....it gets stuck at 50%
