M5 takes ages to fully charge

I have bought a new m5 last week. So far no problems. Last night it took 9 hours of charging from 30% to 95% . Anyone have a the same problem ? I have used original charger.

I'm sorry to hear that.

Normal charging time for an Xperia M5 is 4 hours and 10 minutes.

Are you charging your phone using a wall socket or a USB port? If you are using a USB port, try charging it using a wall socket.

Does it take this long time to charge your phone from 0% to 100% when it's powered off as well? If it does, do you have a friend, colleague or family member that also have an Xperia device? If you do, could you ask them kindly if you can borrow their charger?

Well , it i a wall socket. I dont have another xperia charger . This one is brand new. I will try your sugestions . I have asus charger , same voltage but 1.2A.

I'm sorry for the late reply, I have been out of office due to vacation.

It won't be the battery care feature that is causing you troubles since Xperia M5 does not have this feature.

Have you had the chance to try with another charger or when the phone is turned off? If so, was there any difference in the amount of time it took for the phone to charge to full?

@Jonas. Yes I did. Charging time was normal. So maybe its the charger. But since my first post , I had no problemas with charging it with original charger... But whatever charger im using , battery drains fast . Im not playing any games. Only social networking . Really easy use. And the device gets heated a lot. So.. any update soon with some better battery life?

Is it draining battery while charging or when you are using the phone without charging it?

If it's draining battery while the device is in use and not charging, could you please charge the phone to 100% and use it as normal down to 5-10%, when the battery is a low % go into Settings > Battery > Show battery usage and take a few screenshots of this menu?

I would also appreciate if you could press on "Screen" and take a screenshot of that as well.

To take a screenshot, press and hold the ON/OFF button > tap on "Take screenshot" and upload them here or in a private message to me!
