GPS is probably most useful function on my M2 Aqua. Now after upgrade to Lollipop positional cursor on memory map does not hold satellite signal. Sony suggested a repair with PCC but didn't work. Not prepared to reset as other customers say not successful. This is not good enough Sony and I for one will be switch to another phone Asap. How many customers have to complain before Sony issue a fix or at least say something useful
Guys,
I think that it wouldn't be off-topic here) Some people said that they have successfully downgraded the phone to Kitkat. Well I got official KitKat 4.4.4 firmware (18.3.1.C.1.17) and used the Flashtool (flashtool.net). Eventually in the result log I got "Flashing finished and Please unplug and start your phone". But when I switch on the phone it stucks forever on Xperia Boot Image (moving waves). Has anybody encountered with this situation?
Yes, I did. You have to flash again with "Wipe user data" option selected. It will erase your internal memmory, but the phone will work again.
Thanks, George. It helped and now I can use my phone.
Have the same problems with my M2. Called the Sony support a few weeks ago. they said the same thing: Repair with PCC. But this was unsuccessfull. After that, I send my phone to repair. They changed an antenna but than it were not better then bevore. So I send the phone again and now they told me, that it is working in specs... . Next information from Sony support were, that it is possible that the sd card have an error. But I have the some problem with a new one.
After I told the support, that you can find a topic about the GPS problem in the sony forum, they told me, that they can't say anything about it, that is in the internet... . I think I'll have another call with sony support.
The more people contact with Sony support the sooner they notice the problem.
Hello,
Same situation for me.
Furthermore, my impression is that other connections (wi-fi , bluetooth ) seems less reliable too.
I cannot understand how a company like Sony can throw its users in such dead-ends ... Do they test their upgrade before giving them to customer ?
As a result , I'll take the risk this afternoon to downgrade my firmware using a file coming from a an uncertain source on the internet, as Sony desn't give access to oldest firmware...
Thank you for that Sony, nice move.
