Disable update notifications

How so i stop receiving update notifications for apps i do not want and unable to delete them have disabled them.

Hi @Andy2455, welcome to our community!

You can turn off notifications for when there is an update available for an application in the Google Play store application.

Start with opening up the application and tap on the 3 lines in the top left corner > Settings > App updates available, uncheck the box next to this and you will no longer receive a notification when there is an update available for an application.

Hi and sorry for the delay getting back. That doesn't really help as suggestion disables all update notifications. I am receiving notifications for apps which I have disabled, mainly preinstalled sony apps which I do not use. Can these update notifications be disabled individually without disabling all apps. Thanks.

I'm afraid that this is the only setting in the Google Play store that you can turn on or off for update notifications for applications in your phone.

I totally see your point about it also shows updates for applications that you have disabled but there is no specific setting for this.

There is a setting for each individual application that you enables you to turn off automatic updates for the specific application, however this will not turn off the notification as far as I know.
