I have a HUAWEI Mobile Broadband E1691 and I want to use it on my Sony BDP-S185 to view Netflix

I'd like to use the USB if there is a firmware update avalible, or maybe I could use the LAN(100) connection if there was some additional hardware for the connection to work. I've been told a 3G router might work, as I could plug my HUAWEI Mobile Broadband E1691 into it and the connect the Sony BDP-S185 by way of the LAN(100) connection.

I'm also up to buying a new player if needed, but would perfer to use this one if p[ossible.

I am interested in hearing any additional info, suggestions, comments, etc.

You would probably need to look at MiFi: -

Unfortunately, the BDP-S185 does not support Netflix in Europe so what you are trying to do is not possible with this player.
