Remote Not Working With Side Loaded Chrome

Because i want to watch web based videos and find when im casting from my phone it can be laggy I decided to side load Chrome.

Hpwever when its loaded the TV remote will not navigate the screen and doesnt appear to work at all?

Please help

I'm afraid this is normal for TVs other than certain 2016 & 2017 Android models. We have had several reports of this incompatibility, so it's not just you...
