Sony Bravia TV iPlayer interface

why, whenever we pause a programme on iPlayer does the thing lock up with the 'something went wrong message' - leaving no option but to restart everything and fast forward? And why is tge interace so clunky? Eg: the cumbersome way a programme search has to be done. In fact, why is everything with Sony so complicated, difficult to use and unreliable?
