Hi All,

I have an S-570 Blueray connected to a 40HX803 via HDMI (High speed) cable. Using the blueray players optical output I have connected the audio to a sherwood AV amp (5.1 surround). However the sound cannot be delayed enough to cope with the TV prosessing of the picture, so it is out of sync. I have used the AV sync 0-120ms menu, however this is not enough. The AV sherwood amp does not have the feature to add a delay.

So what is the solution?

Surely Sony should fix this and add an even bigger delay? Otherwise no-one can get thsi to work.

I do not want to take the optical feed from the back of the TV, as then in order to use the blueray as a CD player aswell, I would then have to have the TV turned on also rather than just the BDP.

External sync issues do seam to be an issue with sony equipment.
