Can anyone recommend a good place to buy a 64mb memory upgrade for a Vaio C1XD? Cruicial.com and Kingston don't appear to stock the memory anymore and although I've found a handful of companies selling the memory it tends to be very expensive (sometimes over £100). I'm in the UK but anywhere in the world considered if the postage rates are good. Thanks, Tony.

That's because it's very specialist William, not many people use that RAM anymore, which is a bummer.

That's a really good price but the memory is listed for the C1X - is that a different chip to what the C1XD requires?

I've found the chip listed at www.memory-express.co.uk for a fair bit more (£59+Vat+del) and the OEM is listed as PCGA-MM164. The Offtek one has the product code PCGA-MM564SD.

Feeling slightly unsure now!

AFAIK all of the C1X series notebooks use the same memory. It's probably best if you telephone Offtek to confirm that it's OK with your particular model though.

I've bought memory from them before and they were helpful.
