Cannot install ipod+itunes.

Hi guys. Recently bought VGN FE11S and when I tried to install the ipod software, I kept getting Error 1324 (the path G?????? contains an invalid character). Please advise.

Hi ijohn and welcome to the forum.

You may have a driver problem, assuming that you are trying to install the iPod software via CD; have a look at this –
Click here.

If this scenario is true, then try uninstalling the drive in Device Manager, re-boot and let Windows re-install the correct drivers.

Firstly, thanx for your time. I too saw the article yesterday and I think the issue is that when I first opened my vaio I STUPIDLY registered my name to Windows in Greek. I could change the computer name but not the name registered to windows (warning of it being a system file). Any thoughts, or should I try to restore and start from scratch?

If that is tha problem, but I doubt it somehow, you can change the name and, if necessary, company information. Have a look at this MS help and support article.
