I couldn't find a way to search the forums so big apologies if this is already covered.

I just unboxed my VGF-CP1 digital photo frame, but sadly the SHOUTcast feature is broken. Being the geek I am I spent a few minutes debugging why. It turns out that SHOUTcast now put an xml tag at the start of their dynamic config files which you can see if you view source (or wget): http://www.shoutcast.com/sbin/newxml.phtml

How does one get this to the attention of the developers so a new firmware can be released? The live streaming of shoutcast is a selling point of the CP1 and is one of the reasons I bought it. I am geeky enough to have a content mangling http proxy on my home network that can "fix" the shoutcast data such that my CP1 works, but I doubt Joe Public could do that...

Other than that it's an awesome bit of kit (perhaps a bit slow initialising picasaweb albums, threading the http gets for every album would help), and I am really loving that it includes the Opera browser, going to have to buy a few for christmas presents.

I tried to log a support ticked about this of a very similar issue, my VGF-CP1 cannot reach the Shoutcast server any more (I think it could last year) - this was my question: I understand that Shoutcast may have changed thair URL but this photo frame has the url hard coded in, can anything be done to fix this? Is there a workaround or a new firmware?

I got an email reply saying, get support from Vaio web site - but am unable to find the product code for this photo frame there in order to log a ticket.

Have a standard Netgear router but don;t want to fiddle too much as it might affect my WiFi's performance for other purposes...

Is it possible to set up a Netgear router to filter out that XML line?
It would be nice to fix my old CP1 to be able to use Shoutcast again.
