VGN-A417M recovery Kit

Hi, I installed windows XP pro, in my new vaio VGN-A417M, before creating recovery discs, my HD was re-formated, so I cannot access the HD recovery Utility, pls how can I restore my PC to factory setting or obtain the required recovery media kit?

Welcome to Club Vaio!

Bad news I'm afraid. The recovery discs are unique to each machine and you will have to order a replacement set from Sony Vaio Link..

Cost - about $70.

A great pity you didn't make a set before you deleted the recovery partition!

Did you actually delete the hidden recovery partition when you formatted your vaio?

Have you tried pressing F10 at boot-up to see if the recovery process starts.
