I don't know what happened yesterday on my VAIO All-in-One, but I suddently lost my wired internet connection. The Networking and Sharing Centre now shows the connection as a local area connection on an unidentified public network.

The network adapter's network connection details show that it is connected to a new IP address, rather than my modem's IP address. I can connect to the internet using the computers WiFi adapter without a problem.

I have tried running the Windows diagnostics, VAIO Care troubleshooting and several internet repair toolkits that I have, but nothing I do changes the IP address back to the router.

Does anybody know what caused this and more importantly how to fix it?

Thanks,

Exspextations

Message was edited by: -Cass-

Personal information
